Today is Human Trafficking Awareness Day in the U.S., and faith communities and faith-based organizations are calling upon Americans to become more aware of the millions who are victimized by trafficking – and more involved in finding ways to stop it. Since today is about Awareness, the Justice Response/VAST leaders wanted to make you aware of some great free resources we've made available on the VineyardUSA website. These resources can get you educated and aware regarding trafficking. They can be a first step in seeking the Justice of the Kingdom of God in your local community, across the nation, and around the world.
- First, Love146 has put together a great resource for understanding the Problem.
- Next, the Streetgrace Church Mobilization Guide. Street GRACE mobilizes the resources of churches, financial, human and material, toward those organizations and individuals who have demonstrated effectiveness in battling the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children in the areas of advocacy, aftercare, and mentoring. The ultimate goal is the elimination of this problem in all cities across the United States.
- Finally, the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation/CAASE Communities of Faith toolkit, which helps Christian communities engage in ending sexual exploitation and trafficking.
We hope these resources can help educate and inspire your faith communities to join us as we follow the Father to proclaim freedom for the captives!
